Please go through our guide on How to use cross-play in skate.™ and make sure you have updated the necessary settings in the game and on your Xbox.
If everything seems to be in the right place, please also try restarting your platform. It seems to have helped other players who ran into this error while trying to join their friends.

What platform do you and your friend play on?
Are you able to cross-play with other friends?
Please also review the suggestions in our Connectivity troubleshooting guide, including restarting the modem/router at home, changing the DNS to Google's or OpenDNS, changing the Wi-Fi channel, or using an Ethernet cable.
The connection might be involved.
I am on PlayStation my friend is on pc, we are still having this issue, I don’t have any other friends.
It’s still happening. We’ve tried everything, after server maintenance last night it turned off my cross play, tried joining a friend after turning it back on ( they tried joining me too) and it’s still not allowing us to play together. For sure some issue on EA’s part.
Not our fault your game doesnt work and posting something to teach us what we already know and have checked 20 times is just gaslighting
I'm on pc and I've constantly restarded my game to try fix this issue. My internet is fine no problems there and my CROSSPLAY IS ENABLED! Im trying to join my friend who is on Xbox and his crossplay is also enabled and yet I keep on getting the same error message. Error Code: 528614044 ID_ONLINE_ERROR_CROSSPLAY_DISABLED_UNRESOLVABLE
Please fix this issue, this is literally your server and crossplay technical issue. Im trying to play with friends and cant even do that because of this issue.
