The problem it seems is that there is no way currently implemented to join a crossplay lobby, therefore if one person in your session has crossplay disabled the whole server is then crossplay disabled, therefore if you join new lobbies over and over until you join a crossplay enabled lobby (go to social and check the san van players, you will see some players platform icons are different to yours) then you friends can join you,
