I have the same issue.. Co-op or not! When it happened in co-op both me and my friend got stuck in the game screen. The menu was inaccessible and so was the map screen, We can still open the d-pad menus, but some functions wont work. The only solution is the force close (ALT+F4).
playing on Steam as my controller is not recognized in the EA launcher.
No internet issues. Cabled connection, No issues in other games or apps/software
