Game screen keeps going black on second Monitor

I can launch the game and load in through the menu normally but when i get into the game it will go completely black on my second monitor, I've tried a bunch of other games through this launcher and others and none of them do the same thing.  When I alt tab It comes back for a few more seconds before going black again.  I am using a Laptop and the game works fine for the built in screen but doesn't on my second monitor.   I think it might be a resolution problem to be honest.
