Glitchy audio, then no sound for whole pc

After maybe 5 or so minutes of playing, the audio will start getting crackly and staticky. After a few more minutes of playing, all sound on my pc will stop. Even after closing the game, my desktop will have no audio. I can only fix it by restarting my pc.
