Has there been any progress on this issue since then?
Ever since the grab pump input started behaving strangely, I’ve been playing Skate much less. I tried playing again today after a while, but the issue still hasn’t been fixed.
Was this an intentional change, or is it a bug? The input fails to register far too often. If the pre-update behavior was the intended and normal one, and there were no plans to change it, I’d really like this to be fixed as soon as possible.
I used to play Skate almost every day because I loved skating in pools and halfpipes, but the current state of the game is honestly very disappointing.

Wanted to ask same question— is this actually being worked on right now? There isn't anything about it in The Weekly Grind under "known issues still being investigated".
Also, this week the ZexyZek challenges were added, and one of the "Board Meet Bill" line challenges requires doing a "pump on the roll-in", which currently seems impossible because of this issue.
