Extra ships appearing in battles

I have had multiple ship battles with random ships appearing in the battle. In my last GAC, my opponent had a Raddus fleet, I used Negotiator and one of my starting ships was Bad Batch Marauder. My opponent started with 4 ships…3 Resistance and a Marauder. I just did the fleet CM for the middle planet in TB and used Executor fleet with HT. I started with two HT and there was one on the enemy fleet as well.
