In a real close GAC match and game controls completely disappear with about 3 minutes left in the match. End result -- I lose because the game timed out.
I did a connectivity check right after the game ended and my download and upload speeds are both 200+ Mbps. It's not my connection...
I did receive a call during the game -- did not answer, and kept playing. I had about 3 turns after the call before the game controls disappeared.
