After the Android 9.0 UI update , the game is unplayable due to slow/lagging in game. Everything slows down except the timer, so all my matches timeout. I also cannot scroll to pick toons for updates. Truly the games is unplayable.

Changing these settings did not fix this issue. I have also tried turning off the "save power during touch protection" setting to no avail.
Tried it and still having the same issues. Is there another workaround we can try?
so I tried a bunch of the suggestions, so far 2 fleet and 2 attacks in TB no lag.
I forgot how this game was supposed to play.
had the app unrestricted in the app battery setting
then turned off the save power
changed frame rate to 60 hz in both motion smoothness (changed to standard in display setting)
then did the Ram 4gb from 12 (had to reset phone here)
it seems like its finally working.
not sure which 1 or a combination of these help.
I completely removed any RAM Plus and the game is still lagging. I understand it's not a but, but it is definitely a technical issue.
This seems promising. Thank you! I have made the change to standard from adaptive and so far so good.
So I removed the RAM plus, and it was lagging a bit after, so I added it back, thrn did it removed it again. So far the past 12 hours have been a lot better. I know it sounds strange, but when I was in a battle or anywhere in the game and the lag started again, I just pressed my volume up or down button and the lag was gone. Not a permanent fix, but its better than it was
