Loss of Admiral Piett Shards After Activating Aurodium Light Speed Token

Hello,

I would like to report a potential bug related to Admiral Piett shards and the Aurodium Light Speed Token.

I had been collecting Admiral Piett shards and planned to reach 100 shards before using the Aurodium Light Speed Token (which upgrades the character to 6 stars and Relic 5). Today I had around 90 shards saved, and the character was not manually activated yet.

I decided to purchase and activate the Aurodium Light Speed Token expecting that my existing shards would remain, so I would end up with a character close to 7 stars.

However, after activating the token, all previously collected shards disappeared. Now I see the character at 6 stars with 0 shards. The ~90 shards I had collected are gone.

I believe this is a bug, because otherwise there is no reason to collect shards before activating the Aurodium Light Speed Token.

Could you please investigate this and let me know if the shards can be restored?

Thank you.

This is strange behaviour since I did not activate the character. As I mentioned, it should have a clear warning or explanation in-game helping players make informed decisions and avoid losing resources.

This is how LSTs work, and always has been. It gives you the rest you need to get to the target amount (in this case, 6*).

If you'd had, say, 245 out of 330, you'd keep the extra to end up at 15/100 after hitting 6*.

  • Additionally, I want to highlight that this behavior represents a poor user experience (UX). Collecting shards in advance is a normal strategy for players, and having them disappear unexpectedly — even when the character has not been activated — is confusing and frustrating.

A clear warning or explanation in-game would greatly improve the UX, helping players make informed decisions and avoid losing resources unintentionally.

  • Also, based on this behavior, it seems there is no real benefit in collecting or purchasing character shards in advance if a player plans to use an Aurodium Light Speed Token later.

From a player perspective, it creates a situation where preparing ahead (for example, buying or farming shards for other characters in advance) may result in wasted resources if the token overwrites existing progress.

If this is intended behavior, it would be very helpful to have a clear warning or explanation in-game, so players can make informed decisions before spending time or money on collecting shards.
