Mods removed

I came back to the game today after a few years. When I tried to enhance the mods on my characters I got an error message and was forced to restart the game. After one of the restarts all of my mods were unequipped from the characters and cannot be found in my inventory. I also put a few new mods on after this, restarted my game and those also got removed.
