Today in GAC I defeated my enemy as time expired for the battle and got no banners for the win or the conquer of the area. Without being able to get the banners for either I lost my match even though...

Ideally either the offensive player is allowed to complete their turn regardless of the clock or the defensive player can’t be defeated subsequent to the expiration of the clock. For the offensive player to be defeated while the defensive player is defeated for no banners for the battle as well as the conquer is punitively unfair and without an iota of sportsmanship.
The attack phase lasts 24 hours. If you can’t finish your battles in that amount of time, that’s on you
The time expiration was for the battle and NOT the match. Both offense and defense were defeated with no banners for the offense. I would have attacked again but there was no enemy to attack. Either the offense should be allowed to complete their turn regardless of clock as in football or basketball or the defense should not be able to be defeated subsequent to the clock expiration. Battle or match, doesnt make a difference. The attack phase lasts 24 hrs, no more, no less. We're playing GAC, not some sportsball game.
