If you look at Keleran's Unique you will find it states.
"While Kelleran Beq has Protection, he has 100% counter chance, a 50% chance to attack again whenever he uses a basic ability, and can't drop below 100% Health."
So it doesn't matter how much damage he takes in one hit. So long as he has protection any damage he receives is essentially capped. That is why Bane can't one tap him. Hope this helps.
