While attacking LV squad in TW, after Leia killed Knightfall Trooper in her turn, gameplay stucked between Leia's (already finished) and LV's turn for the remaining 2 minutes. In consequences I couldn't finish LV, and so I thought that at least I'll submit my battle. But no! When the timer reached 0, I was still stucked in this battle and had to restart the game. In the end I lost Leia squad and didn't contribute anything during this battle.

I'm not sure this is the same issue. As I said, Leia has attacked already and this should be LV turn. I think in this case the game did not progress to next character turn properly. But I might be mistaken.
This is clearly a specific issue caused by an assist (Drogan) vs an enemy unit that Leia killed on her turn: Drogan effectively assisted into nothing, as the enemy unit (nightfall trooper) had been killed by Leia on her turn; the assist animation took place and then the battle got stuck
It would not even end, I had to forfeit
Yes the buttons are gone, but there is more to this than just the more generic issue around buttons disappearing at times.
I was playing on a Windows PC via EA app.
