“Select a Season to play in” option shows while leaving lots / worlds

When leaving any lot I get the prompt “pick a season to start with” sometimes it lets me pick a season and move on (but doesn’t affect the games ACTUAL season) but other times I get stuck in a loop and end up having to exit the game.
