A Gay sim admitted attraction to my woman sim through phone call?

Earlier today i got a phone call from Todd Attenberry who is with Elric DeMurray, I don’t remember the exact premise of the phone call but i agreed to have him come over and we had a full relationship bar. I don’t often do gameplay and was unsure why my sim couldn’t interact with him romantically and sure enough he is gay. is this a new bug? that a gay sim can autonomously call a sim they’re not attracted to otherwise and admit a crush? they were also autonomously flirting and kissing but i could not make them do those interactions myself.
