Active Sim has "disco sim" skin glitch on any graphic setting besides medium-low
I was playing through the current limited-time event with one of the sims the game generates when you make a new household and decided to change her outfits to use the new CAS items from the Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack. When I exited CAS after making the changes, the sim suddenly had the "disco" skin glitch where it looks like they're covered in little squares of light. I initially googled the problem and read that it's occurred before and is either the result of broken CC or something wrong with the graphics settings. So, I went through and removed all of my CC and mods, making sure to delete the local thumbnail and sim texture cash each time before reopening the game. The problem was still present even without any mods or CC. So since that didn't work, I moved on to adjusting the graphics settings, since that was the second suggestion. I had been playing on medium settings with medium edge-smoothing prior to the problem, so I tried low settings and high settings, and even changing the in-game screen resolution, again making sure to close the game, delete the aforementioned cache files and then re-opening the game. The only graphic settings that got rid of the glitch is medium-low. I've played countless hours of the sims on the exact same laptop, with the exact same graphics settings without a problem before this, and I had even been playing with the exact same sim for about an hour before changing her clothes. I don't understand what happened. All of the clothing I changed her into was from the game (not CC) and as I said before, the issue persisted even after removing every single piece of CC. The only thing that got rid of the glitch was switching to medium-low graphics. I really don't want to have to use medium-low graphics for the foreseeable future since it has a pretty impact on the visuals in the game.
