Actor career for Get Famous doesn't work AT ALL

I just purchased a few expansion packs while on sale. I just had a Sim apply to the actor career as an uncredited extra. This is the first attempt at even doing that career. Every so often, the Sim will actually be called to what may be considered the "audition". When they return, there is no result and it states 0 minutes until next job. Once it stated 26 days until work? But eventually reset. I also am unable to cancel the gig upon trying to. I have no mods, have not left the lot or anything since getting the job on PS5. It just doesn't work. If it can't be fixed asap, I want a refund.
