Adding my new household won't work in cas

I haven't played the sims 4 since about late last year and I came back to play the game and I made a new sim family not even a day ago and decided I'd finish making it tomorrow so I saved it to my gallery now I opened the game today and when I try to add the household it won't let me add or even delete the household and it won't let me go back to the gallery or exit the gallery either I tried adding a different household not made by me that was in my gallery and it worked so I'm not sure if it's just the households Ive made because I also tried adding my previous household I made a few months ago and it didn't work I also tried restarting the game even updating my console and controller and nothings working Please try and fix this and thank you for reading this.
