Adopt a child broke family tree

My sim adopted his girlfriend’s baby. When he did this he became part of her family - his relationship with his parents was removed and he became her half-sister, as well as the baby’s adopted Dad. Now they can’t marry or flirt or anything as they are too closely related, although in the profile they are still listed as lovers. I’m not using any cc or mods.
