Adults constantly interrupting all interactions to move infant to floor

No idea why this is a thing, but it's been happening frequently where my infant will be perfectly happy on their playmat, my adult sim will be perfectly fine working on painting or cooking or another queued activity, and then everything cancels so that they can go and pick up the infant from the playmat and place them immediately on the ground. This is not the "check infant" interaction. It's something different and super annoying.

It's been happening for several months now.
