Animals stuck in household inventory, shed no longer holds animals

I saw another post about this because I was hoping someone fixed it because this happened to me yesterday. 

SO.... my Llama just died and I wanted to get a cow for my sim. I buy the cow and... it doesn't walk out of the animal shed. I use cheats and reset (debug) the shed. Doesn't help. Then I exited the game and had my Sims 4 repair itself. Doesn't help at all. 

Through the other forum, I then found out where the cow was hiding. It is now officially stuck in my sims household inventory... and I can't get it out. I've tried trading the animal for meat or simoleons, and I get nothing and the cow is still stuck there. I did try assigning it to the animal shed, and it didn't help either. Didn't appear, and didn't leave the household inventory. 

I basically can't use the animal shed anymore (even if I replace it in build mode) and that upsets me. I can't get animals like that anymore and I don't want to move my sim or get rid of the household. I don't use mods or CC. 

This sucks. I was really liking the animal gameplay
