Appliances break very easily

Many objects are breaking simultaneously and constantly within a short period of time. In less than 3 days, I noticed that objects simply break for no apparent reason, regardless of the lot (even if the lot doesn't have any characteristic that would cause the objects to break); computers, toilets, sinks, and appliances break simultaneously. Right now, I'm on a getaway with my child Sims, and everything in the kitchen and bathroom of the camp simply broke, so the problem isn't isolated to my lot alone. It's interesting to note that I'm aware of the luck and misfortune system, and I know it influences this, but my Sims are fairies, and I constantly change their luck, keeping them all balanced.
