Trying to setup an old lot to be a residential small business and cannot open as it says there is no valid lot and that I should purchase a venue. Did I set this up wrong or am I missing something? A...

Same here. Moved to an ex rental lot and can't add my business. When i moved i didnt get any money from selling the lot + furniture, as if i just moved out of a rental.
Edit: i saved the lot to the gallery, moved my family back to their old lot (had to use money cheat), added the lot back to the world (not sure if this is necessray but i changed the lot type to spooky just so there's a change) and then moved my family back via edit worlds. I was then able to select the lot for my small business. I encountered an issue tho when trying to add the lot back from the gallery while actively playing on the lot, my family just disappeared from the worlds.
