Trying to setup an old lot to be a residential small business and cannot open as it says there is no valid lot and that I should purchase a venue. Did I set this up wrong or am I missing something? A...

I’m having a similar problem! I bought a small business venue on the phone, and purchased a lot that my sim is not living on. For some reason my sims home which was not a business before is showing up as one now. I set my home to a residential rental temporarily to make it not a small business, but the lot I bought is still not showing up as a valid lot.
Problem solved! I read the comments and saw someone mention selling the small business in manage worlds then rebuying the lot, and that worked. My home lot is still set as residential rental to keep it off the lot assignment list, not sure if that helped. Thank you the commenter who shared the tip about going to manage world!
