I suspect this bug was triggered by the fact that there was an Audit chance card earlier in the day where the business had to pay §4500 in taxes (though the household had significantly less than that on hand so it just set my simoleons to 0). It looks like the number is the amount you made from services minus the tax. The audit/tax should be listed as a separate line item instead.
Just wanted to say I just had the same thing happen to me. -§2,850 revenue from services, and I also had an audit earlier in the day that took §4500 in taxes. However, my sim had more than enough on hand to cover the taxes when the taxes were taken. This is the only time my sim has received this negative revenue, and in turn, a negative net profit for the day. I also do not use mods or cc.
