Is this happening with old, or new photos?
Old photos in my library. I'm too scared to actually play my game to see if it's for new photos as well.
Are you using a brand new save, or an old one?
I've tried both. For one of my rooms (let's call this room A), in new save all photos are black. In the OG save, only the photos with filters are black. I placed Room A in different saves and weirdly, a photo has appeared that's from the save it's in, but not the actual saved photo.
For my other rooms, in new and old saves, only the photobooth and cherished photos are still black.
What were you doing when this happened? (i.e. taking a photo out of your Sim’s inventory, swapping households, traveling)

Are you actively loaded into the lot where the painting/photo is placed?
I tested from manage worlds and loaded in with the sims
How were these photos taken? (i.e. paintings, with the camera, through the photo booth, or with the phone)
For Room A, the photos were taken with a camera using the tripod. The photos that are still black in the OG save were taken with filters.
For other rooms, it's a mix of photos taken with the phone, digital camera with and without tripod, photobooth and cherished photos, all sizes, with filters. The only photos that are black for the other rooms are photobooth and cherished photos.
For paintings, was this a custom paint from reference, or a normal painting? N/A
Was the painting downloaded from the Gallery? N/A
Did you add any filters to the photos? Yes, while I was taking the photo
What quality is the photo or painting? Cherished and photobooth photos are normal. Most of the other photos are outstanding, with some normal photos mixed in. There aren't any poor quality photos. Room A has all outstanding photos.
