this same happened to me today, just woke up and opened the game and my sim was just black. nothing like this yesterday. Only 2 sims affected so far, both resently edited. both actually have lot of tattoos. no cc, only the cas background mod. oh and i have automatic updates so idk what time yesterday my game was updated.

After reading some of the replies here, I went in and removed all tattoos. They were each wearing one I had created in paint mode. They are fixed after removing all tattoos. Then I added tattoos that were in CAS and they are still fine. Seems only tattoos created with paint mode are the problem, from my testing.
oh my god thank you so much for this, my sim has been stuck looking like a void since the newest update and removing the custom tattoo I had on her fixed it!😊 Wish I would have found this thread sooner because I'm playing a legacy and I like taking photos during milestones/important moments😢
Yeah i think too that its ''just'' the paint mode tattoos causing this, i removed all the tattoos from this sim, and shes normal now. :/
