Can’t Build in Sims

Whenever I enter my Sims game, everything works perfectly. But when I start building and try to save, it either takes forever or glitches and won’t let me build, add, remove, or fix objects. I have to keep restarting the app over and over, and even that doesn’t always work. I tried repairing the game, but that didn’t help. I also tried creating a new save, but that didn’t work either. What can I do, and why does this keep happening?
