Can’t wash animals

Myself and my partner recently bought the cats and dogs expansion pack, so i made a new world on his Xbox and I’ve been trying to wash my animals and I keep moving the tub, buying new ones, putting the tubs outside, to wash the animals but every time I try the sims will pick up the animal then put it down a couple seconds later, but then I reload the game and restarted the Xbox and they start the animation but then the animal doesn’t jump in the tub and they get stuck there until I give them a new command( like put animal down here, or have them talk to another sim), but the sims keep saying the animals are stinky, but I don’t even have the option to brush them so I can’t help the hygiene for them and it’s just getting upsetting cause like why did I just pay $50 to not be able to do anything :/
