can’t place Furniture or Sims from the gallery.

I haven’t played in so long, came back cause i heard there was a big biz fix update.

now I can’t place furniture in my existing game, or once I pick up a piece of furniture I can’t place it back down it’s stuck on the cursor. 
And  when I start a new game I went to my gallery to place my fave starter sim into the CAS and it get stuck on there once I press add to household. 
this game is so disappointing lately, I’ve spent so much money on this game and I can barely even play lately.
