After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top like the eyedropper then going back to the select tool it will let me place another item, but only one. Then click on the eyedropper again and back to the select tool, for each item I need to move or place.

Whenever I go into build mode from live mode, after I delete or add so many objects, it will not let me place anything else nor will it save anything. Once I go back to live mode, I also cannot do anything nor save. It just clocks like it’s saving but never saves.
I have checked the logs and there are no error codes popping up when this happens. I even created a whole new save file and it is still happening.
No mods. No CC. I play on PS 5.
Having the same issue! Using ps4 edition, but it wont let me place anything in build mode anymore. I have to restart the game, but even then It will let me place one object only, and then every other object after it wont let me place. Hoping this gets resolved soon!
I've had this bug for some time now and finally decided to report it because of how severe and disruptive it is. In my save, whenever I enable the cheat bb.moveobjects and try to place certain build elements like stairs, walls, or entire rooms, the build mode completely breaks. After doing this, I can no longer place or move things, and the game becomes unresponsive. Trying to exit the game leads to either an infinite loading screen or a white screen, and it even messes with my desktop tabs and windows to the point where I have to restart my entire PC to get things working again. What's strange is that placing small decorative objects or clutter with bb.moveobjects doesn't trigger this issue, and using stairs or rooms without the cheat works fine. Even after turning the cheat off again, the bug still persists once it has been triggered. I've done a fair amount of testing and can confirm this happens consistently, and I’m playing with no mods or custom content at all. I’m not sure if other players are experiencing this, but it’s made building in my save very tedious. Its very specific sooo idk :/.

I have been having this issue in my game happen since yesterday. I will go into build mode and try to buy anything by selecting the item, just to have it disappear from my cursor. Every single time this happens no matter the object. I thought it could have been caused by my EA app not updating the game (PC user), but even after the update and repairing my game...it is continuing. No CC and I had MCCC installed but removed it and turned off mods before updating my game.
Also having this problem. I thought it was because I didn't have the recent update installed but even after installing it and repairing my game the problem continues.
Every time I place a lot and try to move or delete something it either won’t delete it won’t let me place the item anywhere.
Hi I encountered the same build mode glitch thing last night, I'm on PlayStation and was renovating Caldera Camp in Sulani, I placed a room then was unable to resize, move it or place it. It let me grab the arrow to make it bigger and let me move the whole room but wouldn't let me place it down even though I was pressing X to confirm placement. Then it started happening to every room and item on the lot so I went back to manage worlds but got the infinite spinning plumbob loading screen. Had to close the application down by pressing the options on my controller and choosing close application.
Currently having this issue.
Was playing on a small business lot type on the Inked Inlet Lot. Opened my game today and went into build mode. I increased the size of one room, then when I tried to drag the second room over as well it wouldn't complete the action. It would let me pick up items, but not place them back down. The undo button also wasn't working.
I attempted to go to manage worlds, but my computer started sounding like a jet engine and I got the infinite loading screen. Had to close the game through task manager. This happens every time I open the game and go into build mode. Even quitting the game ends up freezing it, have to go through task manager again.
Fully disabled CC (CAS CC, MCCC, and UI Cheats are what I was using). Same thing as above.
Next tested a different lot in the same save file with CC disabled, didn't appear to have any issues, so I went to my original lot from manage worlds and entered build mode directly. This time I didn't have any issues. I'm wondering if there's an issue with entering build mode from live mode.
Tried in a fresh save as well, entering from live mode on the same lot as a small business, but didn't find any issues. It did take almost 8 hours of gameplay for the original issue to show up, though.
Did you figure anything out? We're having the same trouble here.
