every time i go to make cookies my sim stops and freeze and then cancels the action at the same part of the animantion, then after she then no longer is able to use the object other then cleaning up.

Can you cook other things that need the oven (not stove) ? Did you check if there's already something in the oven ?
yea i can cook everything else but when it comes to the cookies it does this
Could you try a different oven/family ?
having the same problem. tried different stove and counter tops, etc. nothing is in the way. hopefully it will be corrected soon.
Did you also try a different family/save game ?
