Can't order drinks at bars

Almost anytime my sims go to a bar, they are unable to order drinks because the option just isn't there. Whenever the option is there, often times the interaction cancels and they no longer can order drinks. The bartender is still working the bar and other townies are able to order drinks, just my sim can't. I have tried multiple bars including having one at my house during a wedding and it happens at all of them. It is not 100% of the time, but I would say it's about 90%, though a lot of times if they successfully order one drink, they can't order again.
