I play on mac with no mods other than cas CC. One of my sims in the entertainer career won't get promotions, only raises, and he is level 6 with his promotion tasks completed. Another sim who was level 5 culinary career just got promoted to level 10 after one shift, and his promotion tasks were not even completed. I assume this is a bug from the latest update, as promotions were working completely normal before I updated my game.
I have encountered this. I'm playing on a Xbox. It happened to me after I beat the mother plant in strangerville. I asked the mother plant for career help but I haven't received it. I quit that game because it wouldn't let me get promoted so I started another game and it wouldn't let that sim get promoted either.
I too am having this issue. I can't get promoted and only get raises but I am really not getting that either, it's more of a bonus because my hourly rate hasn't gone up. I am doing the Very Veggie Challenge and I can't get to level 10 of the Romance Career. Took the mod folder out and still nothing.
I have this issue too I play on pc with no mods or cc it only happens when I use the entrepreneurial reward trait. It doesn’t matter the career I get the gold tick then my sims come home with raises instead of promotions
