Just came here to say, for the unfortunate 5th day in a row, that CAS is still causing my entire game to crash and I still have to force-exit through task manager (I describe the full issue in my previous post). Atp just give me my money back if I’m not allowed to play the game I paid money for. They’re not even addressing the CAS issue at all either, just the other bugs which they’ve already updated more than once. At least say you’re going to investigate this issue that hundreds of other people are experiencing instead of just ignoring it…

I made a new household with new Sims as a test and CAS works just fine for them. But if I try with a pre-existing household or Sim, the CAS screen just loads forever. I don't use the columns mod and don't have any expansions or packs installed, it's just the base game and some CC clothes and hairstyles. I'm going to use one of those new, "safe" Sims and invite an older one over and see if I can use cas.fulleditmode on them while visiting to access the CAS screen. Just thought of that.
Can you reply back if this worked? I got too many good sims they have tons of CC.
I saw you mention you have some mods installed. I would do the 50/50 method to see if one of those are the issue. I'm not sure which mods you have, but for me it was the More CAS Columns mod that was causing this issue for me by weerbesu
Yeah, the CAS Column mod was what did it for me! Thank you for the tip! He has updated the mod btw, so it's worth giving it a go again!
Columns Mod? do you mean like more traits in CAS? because that's the one I'm using
I tried this, I even removed all my mods when it didn’t work, and when I did that my game wouldn’t start up again. So I placed the mods back and the game would start again… I don’t think it’s the mods, for me at least.
guys i had this issue and it was pissing me off but i removed more traits by pancakes or wtv and turned off and on allow script mods in settings and it works!!!
I'm still getting this issue, do I need to load up the Actual Save with No scripts enabled? Because I haven't tried that just yet. time to make a back up of a save lol because I'm not going to lose everything on a risky fix.. but thanks in advance... even more so if it works!
Same problem, previous saves won’t load CAS, whether you remove all mods or not. It will get stuck on the loading screen and play multiple loading soundtracks at one time. However creating a new sim and world it works perfectly fine. (For the buttons glitch it’s usually the UI-Cheats mod needing an update.)
Same here! I can create a new household in CAS but cannot edit the existing households…. What is the point of releasing bug fixes if they do t really fix bugs? 🤷♀️
I just removed TwistedMexi's Story Progression Viewer and TwistedMexi's Tmex-AllScenarios , IDK which one worked but it solved my problem with CAS issue .
I checked my all of my CC- none of it is broken so that should not cause the problem… plus I think if broken CC was causing it I would not be able to open create a sim either 😬 I don’t know
Ok! Mine was CAS backgrounds. I removed those and CAS works fine now. Back to playing again!
Realistically, if you’re able to make a new save with no problems, then it’s probably an EA issue and not the mods. The update probably glitched the save files for existing worlds. I’ll keep trying to figure out the issue and post if i fix it.
SAME I have no idea what's going on, just updated my CAS More Columns mod. Hopefully that helps, glad to see other people are also having this problem
Chiming in with a "me too". I have the absolute latest UIcheats and columns mods. It doesn't matter if I leave them in or take them out. I can not go to CAS in any way.
I was going to buy Lovestruck, but will put that on hold until the game is playable again. Luckily, I have other games to pass my time.
I didn't even buy the new pack, but I'm assuming that regardless of whether you did, the game is still buggy. I can load into lots and households perfectly fine, the infinite loading screen only occurs when I try to access CAS. I just updated my columns mod and repaired the game, hoping it fixes. 🙏
