Certain Items look broken/invisible (Intel Iris XE, DX9)

I have the same problem, haven't played for a while and just thought it was my game. Also the book shelf that came with the gems pack is invisible when placing it. 

With the latest update, I've noticed that these two specific showers from the Horse Ranch and High School Days packs have become invisible or "shadow only" inside the house or build. If they're outside the building, it becomes visible again.

It's not a problem (they're functional), but it bothers me because they're not visible. This happens in different saves, I don't know if someone has the same problem as me.

Fr1tzy_R​  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Fr1tzy_R​  Interesting.  This is a fairly common issue on one particular family of graphics chip, but your laptop doesn't have that chip.  Still, you can try the usual workaround: force the game to launch in DirectX 11 mode rather than DX9 as you're currently using.  How to do so in Steam is covered here:

Hi there,

I've had this issue for months now and it hasn't been resolved.  Basically there's 2 items that are affected that I know of but there could be more. 

The university cubicle shower & the Snowy Escape lockers are visible when placed outside, but as soon as I move them into a room they vanish.  If I place them and hover over the outline illuminates to show that there's an object, however it isnt visible in buildmode or livemode.

Please can you fix this.

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post
