Certain Items look broken/invisible (Intel Iris XE, DX9)

have you tried repairing the game after switching ?

I have this problem too. My computer is set up with a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3520M processor, and using the device manager, it looks like I have a Intel HD graphics 4000. I seem to be running dx12.

DX12 what your card is capable of not the DX version the game is running.

It will tell you the lower left corner of the main menu what you are running.

Also make sure you have the newest drivers.

You were correct. I had up to date drivers, but my game was only running dx9. I have it now running dx11 and the problem is fixed. Thank you for the great advice!

"Armoire for the Ages" has a bugged swatch, the one on the left at the very bottom when choosing a swatch in-game and not in the item collection, when hovering over the closet it looks fine and has the normal swatch but when hovering anywhere else on screen it's bugged.

Is it just this swatch you have issues with ? Your pic is a bit blurry so it's hard to tell what is wrong

There is a known issue for lockers for certain graphics chips so could you post your DXDiag ?

- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post

In build and live mode there are certain items that are invisible. (off the top of my head I can only remember the Discover University tall bookshelf (the one in the uni library) but there is more that I've noticed)

The picture is fine in the build menu but as soon as I want to place them they become invisible. When they are hovered over they glow, as other objects do, so it seems like they should be functional, but the colour has just been taken out.

The bookshelf is also the most noticeable item because the library in Britechester now looks completely empty.

I don't use any mods or cc.

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.

I'm having the same issue.  My drivers are all up to date.  I see I'm on DX9, but I don't have an option to uncheck.  There's nothing there.

The lockers in the high school that are usable are all shadows. You can interact with them like you’re suppose to but you can’t see them.
