Clock is out of sync with actual game time

During gameplay (PC) the clock seems to go too fast so when sims go to work the time can show as several hours ahead of what the game time actually is. For example the game clock can show as 9am but sims won’t get the notification to go to work until several sim hours later. They aren’t showing as late and don’t have the option to go to work. Also when phoning other sims it says they are sleeping even if it’s the middle of the day according to the game clock. This is fixed briefly by travelling or going to manage worlds but will go back to being several hours ahead after a few minutes of play.

I’ve uninstalled, repaired, tried various new saves, removed all mods and the clock will always go out of sync.

  • I noticed the same thing when I was last playing. Not as bad as several hours, but my kids weren't asked to leave for school until it was 8:40.

The clock can be 12 hours ahead on mine. It’s so frustrating! I’ve noticed the bigger the family, the worse it seems to get. Currently playing a 5 sim family.

Are you still having issues with this ?

Out-of-Sync timers are most often caused by fiddling around with the time in MCCC or using the Lag Simulation mod.

Saves won't revert when you remove the mods.

Thank you for your reply. Yes this is still an issue. I have removed all mods and started new a new game to try and rectify but it still happens. I’ve come to the conclusion that my pc just can’t run the sims properly 😞

  • Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Hi, I’ve been having the same issue. I’ve followed these steps multiple times and I’ve started over but I’m still having the same issue.
