Hi! I've been experiencing this issue for quite a while now. The in-game clock and the sims schedules are out of sync. Sims will only receive the notifications for school and work and leave hours later, sometimes up to 5/8 hours or more (e.g., school/work at 8 AM → leave at 11 AM or 2 PM). Holidays and other events can also end much later than they should, but once I travel to another lot, the clock returns to the "correct" time. Even if Sims spend the whole day at home with no events or work, the clock still de-syncs.
I use an external 1 TB SSD for extra space, so lack of storage is not an issue. The problem also occurred before I upgraded, but at the time I thought storage limitations were the cause because I had less than 4 GB of free space on my computer.
I've never installed MCCC or any other mods that adjust simulation lag, and my computer clock is correct.
Steps I've tried:
*Removed all mods and CC
*Cleared Steam and EA app cache, and the game cache
*Tested with a clean Sims 4 folder (moved old folder and generated a new one)
*Repaired the game via Steam’s “Verify integrity of game files”
*Reinstalled the game completely
*Tested in brand new saves (completely removed all save folders I had)
Temporary workaround:
Switching to Manage Worlds temporarily or travelling resyncs the clock, but only for a few minutes
