I’ve been experiencing this bug for half a year now, and I no longer raise livestock because of it. When I move to a new house with a cow in my inventory and try to assign it to a new shed, the assignment window pops up, but the cow is grayed out and unclickable. If I leave it as is, I keep getting notifications saying the cow is hungry, which makes me feel uncomfortable. Even buying a new cow doesn’t help—the same issue occurs where I can’t assign it to the shed. I thought I could avoid the problem by not moving houses, so I started a new game. But even then, after submitting a cow to the fair, I couldn’t return it to the shed. Again, I didn’t want to see constant notifications about the cow being unhappy, so I ended up deleting that save file too.
