I agree that having issues by all the DLC is getting a little redundant considering the volume. The only exception to this in my view is the bugs that are very definitely associated with that DLC, whether or not this is true on the back end. The example that comes to mind is the For Rent maintenance events not completing correctly.
I would add Events to "New bugs for Patches/Packs" - there have historically been issues with previous Events.
I see so many people reporting the same issue time and again, rather than searching the forum. I'm not sure how to encourage people to do this to increase votes. My first thought is to put the top 25 issues at the top of the forum to highlight this (the area where you have links to this thread and collection issues, etc.) so that they are easily accessible/seen. The forum seems quite bulky to parse through, which is perhaps why there are so many reports with so few votes.
I think getting more engaged with the official Discord is going to be helpful. Perhaps posting the top 25 issues and the list of new bugs associated with patches/packs/events there on a two-monthly basis? I know that you're looking to increase efficiency for yourself in terms of organisation, but I think tying this in with increasing engagement from the community is also helpful in the long run.
There's a dedicated channel in the discord called ea-forum-help-links that does have a lot of bug links (just put the ones from the last patch there) but yeah, due to time constraints, I hardly have time to take care of that too)
Current events would def be interesting to have on the first page too although there's usually a lot of problems that aren't either issues but misunderstandings and stuff or the same old same old that are happening with every event. I was planning to do something better for this time but then .. the patch happend .. .and the announcement .. and there goes my time.
As for the pack things, that will probably be hard to do only a few of those pack related. They would need a special marking. But in case of For rent, there will probably just be a section for all issues related to r-rentals. Do you think that would work ?Yeah, you're one person trying to wrangle a forum, the Discord and every single community member, while I'm assuming having a full time job to pay the bills. It's honestly incredible how you're able to manage everything. If you need help, please feel free to DM me. Though I get that bringing someone up to speed to help is another thing to add to the list!
I think having a section for all r-rentals is a good idea. Honestly, it seems like it might fit nicely in the collection list the way you've put it there.
I agree that the top 25 will not be that helpful, because of the fact that it's picking up the most votes without any dynamics to it. If there was a way to have a dynamic live list at the top to make sure the most recent popular reports are constantly highlighted, that might reduced duplicates? I'm just throwing spaghetti at the wall right now!Thank you for your kind words.
Fortunately that I'm in the comfortable situation to not have to have a full time job (at least not anymore) so that helps with things.
The top 25 is a tricky thing but I guess it could be done if most votes on the top level would only pick up from some statuses and not all.
