Compiled List 2026: Feedback Request

Disclaimer: EA has nothing to do with any of this. This is me as a helper of this forum providing a service to you.

Hi Guys,

I need everyone's feedback on the compiled list. I plan to do some changes to it in 2026 and would like to hear from you what you think is missing or what would make it easier for you to find reported issues.

Please see below for some general background information as to what is feasible to change and what isn't (and why).

Suggestions from my side

I'm currently thinking of getting rid of the pack pages. Having the list sorted by packs was all fine and dandy when we didn't have 113 DLC with the game (this includes some single items, it's just what my EA app says). With this many DLCs it's impossible to remember which feature came with which pack.

Instead I'm thinking of making categories/features the main entry points. Pack tags would still be included on the bug links but no more pages dedicated to packs except for the newest one.

So there would for example be pages for these

  • Top Ten (or 25) ?, Index of all pages and some other general info.
  • Index of all collections
  • New bugs for Patches/Packs. Replaced each time we have a new major patch or pack although Kits would have their own section on this page and list the newest ones released as well.
  • General Tech Issues/Performance
  • CAS
  • Build Mode
  • Platform specific issues (PC, Mac, Console)
  • Aspirations, Emotions, Skills, Traits (Lot and Sims), ..
  • Careers
  • Base Game features like Sentiments and other things
Pack specific features like like milestones, lifestyles, etc

That's just a short overview to explain the general idea. There will be more also depending of amount bugs but I would like to keep it to fewer pages than the list has now cause it's tedious to update with a lot of pages and with the Show More function also very tedious to navigate (we really need pagination and faster loading, EA team).

Your Suggestions

Now it's your turn. What would you like to be included (see background info for what's possible) ? What do you think about the idea ? You're the ones using it, I personally only use my database or forum search to find stuff.

Let me know :D

Background Info

I collect all bugs that are getting reported (once they hit Review) in my own database. I have been doing this for years so I have a lot of information in there going back all the way to 2019. There's only certain information I have been collecting. While I do most by scraping the HTML page, there are things I need to add manually. I'm collecting things like title, link, status, number of upvotes, dates and platform.

I also manually set a category. So each bug already has one. There's also some work to be done though as sometimes, I'm not that consistent about what goes where and it also changed over time.

I then generate HTML code from the database to create the compiled list and paste it into the thread. This is currently a lot of work unfortunately which is why I don't update as often.

So anything within this scope of data that I have is easy to do. Adding extra info to old bug would be too much but if you think a certain information would be useful to have as well, I can add it going forward.

  • Hi Crin

In my first reading of this request for feedback, I felt resistant to you doing away with the pack pages but realize it is because it is the format that I have become used to using for years now.  Resistance to change is human nature, lol.  I also am not the one struggling to keep up with categorizing the many reports.  You've obviously given this much thought to stay organized, but also in a manner you feel you can best keep up with.  Saying this forum needs pagination is an understatement.  I detest all the scrolling involved.

The short answer for you is that I am willing to try a new format that you think will work better and make it easier on you to update.  I realize you do this on a volunteer basis and appreciate all the effort you put into it.  The compilation of issues is something I reference often and has worked well for my purposes.

I do have a request for the Needs Info threads.  In the OP, could you link to the post requesting a save?  Having to scroll through a whole thread is terribly time consuming if such a post is buried among lots of comments.  Simmers also don't necessarily equate a needs info designation to mean a save is requested and rightly so.  I scrolled through a whole needs info thread the other day and never found a request for a save, which I thought odd.  So, food for thought, should a needs info thread change to a needs saves designation for clarity?

Collection threads also defeat me most of the time for the purpose of upvoting something reported.  For that boat tee from BYSP that was just fixed, I had looked, found it reported but all I could do was like the post.  I didn't think upvoting an entire collections thread was what needed to be done.  I know issues like that don't necessarily garner lots of votes, so I do get why there are now collection threads.  I'm just indicating it's not easy to upvote any of those issues unless they link to a previously filed report but don't really have a suggestion to make it easier either.

There is the new awaiting further reports designation on threads but there isn't a category for them shown.  It seems like they should have a category.  How are you supposed to handle those items on a compilation of issues?  Just ignore them until it is deemed they have enough votes?  If that's the case, there should be a guideline for the number of votes necessary and a plan in place to change their status back to reviewed at least.  It might also be helpful to include a by design category.

  • I think that makes sense, to not tie directly to a pack. I can't remember what came with what either and there are so many of them. Categories seems like a sound idea to me.
