Doctor Career Treating illness bug

I have been following my Surgeon sim to work and trying to properly diagnose patients to level her up to lvl 10, but every time I reach a diagnosis, even if it’s the only diagnosis option that was available, the game keeps cancelling whatever my treating illness action is. It fixes when I exit and reload the game, but the sims switch symptoms and illnesses once you exit so the sim that I had already diagnosed ends up having another illness and therefore the treating illness is ineffective and I have “not diagnosed and treated the illness properly”.
