[DU] Dorm affiliation doesn't spawn organization members as roommates
When setting a university housing lot's dorm affiliation to a specific university organization (e.g., Art Society) via the lot configuration panel, the game does not populate the dorm with members of that organization. Instead, all roommates that spawn are random Sims who are not part of the selected organization. This was tested specifically with the Art Society, but may affect all organizations.
Expected Behavior:
When a dormitory's affiliation is set to a specific university organization, the NPC roommates who move into the dorm should be members of that organization. This would create an immersive experience where Sims live alongside fellow organization members, making the affiliation setting meaningful.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Install Discover University expansion pack.
- In Build/Buy mode on a university housing lot, locate the lot configuration panel.
- Set the dorm affiliation to a specific organization (e.g., Art Society at UBrite).
- Have a Sim enroll in university and move into that dorm.
- Play for several in-game days to allow roommates to spawn and move in.
- Go or an organization event to see if any of the roommates are present at the event.
Actual Result:
- The roommates that spawn are random Sims not affiliated with the selected organization.
- Members of the intended organization do not move into the dorm.
- The dorm affiliation setting appears to have no effect on roommate generation.
Additional Notes:
- The lot configuration panel includes an option to restrict a dorm to a "particular university organization," implying that this should populate the dorm with members of that group.
- Organizations (Art Society, Debate Guild, Spirit Corps, Bot Savants, etc.) are distinct from Get Together clubs, though they share the same UI panel.
Impact:
Makes the dorm affiliation feature non-functional for its intended purpose. Players who want their Sim to live with fellow organization members cannot do so through normal gameplay. This reduces immersion and the sense of being part of a campus community.
