Edith is a random townie that isn't a ghost

My sim went to visit the well in Ravenwood and i could not find Edith. There was, however, a random townie just standing there. I clicked them and all of Edith's interactions were on this sim! I do play with mods but it wasn't a mods issue as I removed the mods and tried again and she was still 'Edith.'
