My game keeps crashing EVERY time I try to travel. I have to force quit my game in order to exit. I can hear the sims talking and doing stuff in the background, but the loading screen never goes away...

Try to figure out if it's the Sim or the house or a general issue on new and old saves and provide that info for further troubleshooting.
