Family tree looks broken

This must be an old bug, but I haven't found a specific topic talking about it:

Sometimes, when checking a family tree, links that should appear between Sims to portray how they are connected, just don't show up.

For example, among the premade Sims, Lilith and Caleb Vatore show up on their family tree, and do have the sibling notification on their character sheets, but their family tree doesn't link them. I checked on different saves, and their family tree is broken on all of them, including a save I've created today.

Aside from Lilith and Caleb, I found a broken link that looks a little different in a family I played for 3 generations. I don't remember all the details so I can't even say what are supposed to be these family connections. Keaty had twins Holly and Damon, before having children with her husband (as seen on Maxime.png). When selecting one of the twins (Holly.png), Keaty's other children get disconnected from Keaty. Other siblings show up too, as if Keaty is their mother. But when selecting these other siblings (Julie.png), Keaty doesn't appear anymore. I don't know how to read this family tree. It's confusing.

Could you please provide the following information

Are you using mods/cc in your game ?

Is it just siblings that have issues ? There was an old report for that at AHQ.

It's possible a mod corrupted my game. Nowadays, I do have these mods:
Modguard
XML Injector
Set Filters On Paintings
More Selectable Icons
Home Regions
Keep Instruments In inventory

And also a bunch of CC that I use in build mode.
Unfortunately, taking my Mods folder off my game and repairing my game doesn't change anything :(
I made another new save on my mod free game, and the Vatore siblings still appear without any connection on their family tree. I usually don't play on a household long enough to have intricate family trees. But, since I made a new save to check this, I did notice that Kaori Nishidake (Snowy Escape) and her grand-parents aren't together in the family tree panel at all. They do have the relationship on their character sheets. If I check the family tree of her grand-parents, it doesn't show they are supposed to have a child or a grand-child. It's exactly the same issue with the Elderberry family in Britechester. The unknown family members supposed to connect these Sims on their respective family trees are gone.
I think it's been going on for a very long time in my game. Is there something I could do so this issue goes away?
