playable BUT I can't open CTRL+SHIFT+C , I can't open simology panels, edit mode, .. etc. I can't even save it. I can only play but cannot make any changes.
UPDATE: I fixed mine after posting this, but I forgot to update you guys because I started playing 😂. I clicked Manage > REPAIR on my EA app. See screen shot. It worked immediately. And I don't have any mods btw. And it is still glitchy but not as bad.
Can't play game! When will EA fix this issuuueee and why doesn't anyone in Dev team QA updates better? Or is it the usual, QA was done in lower environment and no due diligence in Production? Same as others. Can't build, go to worlds, Simology (kids simology with their emotions/empathy etc meters there are arrows flashing upwards, can't scroll), then can't save. So basically can't play the game. 😭
I’m having the same issue also. I just tried repairing my game to see if it will fix it.

I have repaired and restarted my computer multiple times with no change. I’m just happy I’m not the only one with this issue. It sucks, but I thought I had created the issue.
I literally can't save or use the menu/inventory, my vampire sims have a werewolf icon for some reason, i cant go into CTRL + SHIFT + C either and the icons for my sims traits are that stupid Llama they use when things don't load 😞
I removed all of my mods and reloaded the game and I was able to save. Must be one of my mods....guess i'll be hunting for broken mods tonight.
I know that for my game the SNB mod was the issue. I literally went through all my mods...all 890 of them and it was SNB
I am also experiencing the same issue, which is incredibly frustrating, especially since I've been dealing with problems in EA/Sims 4 for the past few weeks. I've tried everything—removed all my mods and even re-installed the game—after it kept crashing upon launch, and now this. I can't save the game, I can't enter the world, I can't go into the build mode, can't open a sims inventory or their Simology... what's the point in investing time into it if I can't really anything or save my progress? I adore the Sims 4, but the multitude of bugs is really making it difficult to enjoy the game.
Mine doesn't working either. I click on the simology panel and tried to travel but the game would completely break. I couldn't do anything. On the simology panel the arrows for the reposibilty/empathy etc those parenting traits would flash upwards and I couldn't scroll through it. I tried to go to manage world's but it would just be a black screen and my game would still play but I just saw some like dialogue popups and my mouse.
I am having this problem as well and i don't use mods at all never have. Cant do anything tried repairing reinstalling everything, sad cause i was looking forward to the new expansion pack
The same problem here cannot save , cannot open panels , makes the game totally unplayable and then after a while couldn't use phone to travel home from high school and when i tried having my sims walk home it went to a black screen and stopped altogether
Updated this morning and now my mods won't load - i keep ticking the box to activate them, which then says I need to restart the game to take effect and when I restart the game the pop up comes up saying mods are disabled and I keep going round and round in circles 😫
You can try to click REPAIR, it worked for me. when I remembered there was an option for repair. It worked immediately.
