I noticed this issue too.
In my case, the collectables in Storage Box (from Base Game) at occupied Unit disappeared, when access to Build/Buy Mode of the lot from Manage World. But when access to B/B Mode of the occupied Unit with same procedure, the collectables doesn't disappeared. (used box is following pic's one)

And, in both cases, the marbles in the Jar For Marbles were unaffected as Down-in-Simsland​ mentioned.
